Children’s Rights Week at Merus Power

Last week, Merus Power celebrated Finland’s Children’s Rights Week. While we’re committed to electrifying the future, there simply is no future without children. We have traditionally participated in Children’s Day at Work, but this year we also wanted to give our support to children who are in serious need of it.

Donation to support children with critical illnesses

Also in the spirit of Children’s Rights Week, Merus Power made a €2500 donation through Team Rynkeby to support children with critical illnesses. Team Rynkeby is on a mission to raise money for those in need by biking to Paris. They will cycle to Paris for sick children for the 25th time next year.

Children’s Day at Work

On Friday, Merus Power welcomed families to attend Children’s Day at Work. The day celebrated families by highlighting the children’s rights, and offered kids an opportunity to learn what parents do at work.

Throughout the day, the little visitors got a chance to enjoy a full program of fun and creative activities. In the morning, the children were able to engage in activities such as drawing, puzzles, and playing. Some even built an energy storage facility out of potatoes! To top off the day, the energy reached a new level with a superhero themed workout led by Supersam. Supersam got the whole group jumping, moving, and having fun together.

The event reminded us of the value of having children learn about working life and of the curiosity they bring to our everyday lives. Until next year!
